Our story
Get Out The Vote Carling is a group of seasonal and full-time Carling residents. We formed because turnout in Carling should be higher than it is, and because voters deserve to know what the people on the ballot actually think before they mark one.
We are not a campaign. We do not endorse candidates, we do not raise money for them, and we take no position between the people on the ballot. Our only interest is that more Carling voters vote, and that they vote informed.
What we do
- We ask every candidate on the ballot for a biography and for answers to the same two questions, on the same day.
- We publish what each candidate sends, in their own words, exactly as it was sent.
- We say plainly when a candidate sent something different from what was asked, rather than editing it to match.
- We explain how voting works in Carling, because internet and telephone voting is new to many people, and seasonal owners are the most likely to miss a step.
